Over a century ago, in 1880 one Mr Stopforth had a store in Baberton. This store doubled as Law Firm as Mr Stopforth also knew much about the law and was a local law agent. The name Rose-Innes comes from a Mr James Rose-Innes, who was allowed to practice law by the Transvaal Provincial Section of the High Court on 19 May 1903 whereupon he starts practicing law in Barberton. James is joined by a Mr Walter Hockley on 28 April 1922 and the firm name changed to Rose-Innes & Hockley. On 1 June 2014, Mrs. Ronel Oelofsen joined Mr. Settling disputes in the High Court and Magistrate Court.
